Avoriaz is now ready to welcome families, couples and groups of friends during the opening weekend of the resort and the skiing area. Indeed, from 14th to 16th December, the event called "Rock on Snow" will allow you to enjoy 75 kilometers of ski slopes but also a lot of activites:
- Introductions to new skiing practices and contests will take place within the "Experience Village", that will gather diverse activities such as Parallel Giant, slope with bumps, night freerando skiing in a group, etc.
- The greatest brands will run stands in order that Alpine skiers, snowboards, freeriders (and all ski lovers!) can try for free the new equipment of the season.
- A “Fluo Rando” will take place to the delight of cross-country skiers : you will be able to choose between a course with 235 m or 375 m D+. Besides, the equipment will be lended for free by Dynastar for the first 50 registered competitors.
- Movies will be shown for free in Avoriaz cinema and 8 festive evenings will happen in the resort, to enjoy the moutains even outside the skiing area. Besides, Le 720 will show « Kamikazu » on 14th December, a movie allowing to discover the best back-country spots with high-flying snowboarders.
