The ski slopes of Serre-Chevalier will be officially open from 15th December 2018. Pack your bags, book your accommodation, rent your ski equipment, and enjoy the snow-capped skiing area!

A skiing area designed for families, and for novices as well as for expert skiers

One of the strenghts of Serre-Chevalier is undeniably the diversity of its ski slopes and its skiing areas. Alone, as a family, in a couple or with your friends, lots of ski slopes are waiting for you whatever your level : 13 green slopes to enjoy gentle slopes, 25 blue slopes to ski down without great difficulties, 30 red slopes to test your technique and to increase your sensations, and 14 black slopes for thrill.

There are also lots of special areas which are major spots to enjoy great holidays. From freestyle areas to Boardercross course, including the playful course FunnyCross, everything is done for your delight!

Skiing down and freestyle skiing, and much more activites!

If you want to take off your skis to try new experiences, Serre-Chevalier Villeneuve is the perfect ski resort:

  • Come and try ice skating in Villeneuve to have fun with your children or your friends.
  • Feel new sensations at Serre Che Mountain : in a go-kart or in a sledge, you will go down a track that is 2 kilometre long with a 300 metre vertical drop. Deval'Bob is another activity providing amazing feelings, thanks to its 26 curves with a 500 metre vertical drop.
  • Take a different look at the skiing area thanks to snowmobiles rides, at daybreak or when the night falls, or in a more original way by trying a ride in a snow groomer (from 25th December).
  • Discover a family activity, both wild and relaxing : a ride with sled dogs.
  • Learn how to drive on ice with a qualified instructor : you will first attend a theoretical course and you will then start driving to learn how to take bends in these unusual conditions.
  • Combine cross-country skiing and sledging by trying Snooc, to enjoy the landscape while having fun by going down the snow-covered hills.
  • Hurtle down the skiing area in some other way by riding a FatBike on slopes especially designed for this activity.
  • Go from snow to ice by getting into mountaineering: the ice fall located in Villeneuve allow beginners and seasoned mountain-climbers to discover another side of winter sports.

However, don't forget to inquire about these activites to Serre-Chevalier tourism office, since most of them will be open from 22nd December or might require booking. And if you just want to enjoy ski slopes and back-country areas, you can do it from 15th December!
