If you are a good skier who likes going off the beaten tracks to enjoy the powder snow and discover sumptuous landscapes, Freeride skiing is surely one of your favourite activites during your skiing holidays. But in order that you indulge safely in the pleasures of this winter sport, you'd better have the right gear and know the safety rules you need to respect!
Off-piste skiing equipment: rent skis or a snowboard in Sport 2000 Altitude
In order to be able to lift off from the snow in virgin fields and to handle your skis with precision, you must opt for the appropriate equipment. Indeed, even if some Alpine skis are quite versatile to have fun by the slopes, you'd rather choose some skis which have been designed especially for Free Ride skiing if you want to spend some time in the powdery snow.
In our ski shop, you will find several designs to enjoy off-piste skiing in the "Free Ride skis" range. Light but performing well, they will provide you the purest sensations while backcountry skiing, while enabling you to have fun on the groomed descents too.
For snowboarding lovers, you can choose the "black" range, including versatile and larger than usual boards, so that you can go to areas covered with fresh snow as well as on the ski trails.
