In order that you can enjoy every moment you spend on the virgin slopes of our mountains, we offer two ranges of equipments, combining all the vital features to enable easy climbing and amazing descents:
- Classic touring skis, rented with a pair of sealskins and provided with specific bindings and several adjustment options, will help you to reduce the effort while climbing. Besides, their flexibility gives you the opportunity to make the most of snow-covered hills while skiing down the slopes.
- Free touring skis are rather aimed at those who want to explore the snow powder areas, where only a few skiers can venture to. Halfway between touring skis and Free Ride skis, these designs enable you to climb almost every slope and to have fun while descending fields covered with virgin snow, thanks to the double rocker making it easier to lift off from the snow.
Within these 2 categories, you will find the greatest skis and boots brands, such as Scott, Völkl, Roxa, etc. Moreover, you must be aware that we also rent the accessories you need for off-piste skiing, such as backpacks and DVA packs.
Introductions to ski touring with an instructor
If you are beginner or if you don't really know the summits surrounding Isola 2000, we advise you to call in a mountain guide. He knows where you can enjoy cross-country skiing safely and where are the most beautiful landscapes.
Christian Belpois,the owner of Snow Shop, is also a guide, expert at ski touring. Several formulas are available for those who want to get to know this winter sport and for the good skiers, during the whole day or for half a day :
- Private lesson, for one person or 2 people, for the price of 48€/hour.
- Group lesson, for at least 4 people, at the price of 25 €/hour/person.
