On the ski trails, some people are looking for gentle slopes, others like technical descents, and others are thirsty for speed. In this case, you shouldn't miss the discovery weekend of speed skiing in Isola 2000!
Indeed, on 18th and 19th January 2020, the world record holder Xavier Cousseau and his sidekicks offer you to try speed skiing while providing their valuable advice. On the Petit Parc slope in Isola, there will be everything you need to experiment new sensations safely, with a timing of your descent.
The activity is free and open to any skier with a 3-star minimum level, and from the age of 6. It will last 2 days: introductions to speed skiing on Saturday 18th and a challenge on Sundy 19th, to know who is the fastest skier on the slope among all competitors!
If you want to, you will be lended the equipment (racing skis, helmet and back protection), but you still need to bring your own pair of ski boots. You don't have one? Don't worry, you can rent Comfort and Performance boots online from Snow Shop.
If you are staying in our lovely ski resort for several days, you can also hire the gear you need and be a part of the speed skiing activity with this equipment. Our sports shop has a wide collection of skis available, including top-of-the-range designs (Diamond and Infinity ranges), so you can try and beat some records on the ski slope! Kids can also enjoy cutting-edge equipment to ski down at top speed, especially within the black Junior and Teen ranges.
And of course, you can rent helmets for children and adults (it's compulsory for Xspeed Isola Challenge), in order to ski while being well protected.
