As the highest village in Europe the ski resort of Val Thorens, situated at 2300m in altitude has it all.

Val Thorens is above all a skiing paradise in every way. Thanks to its exceptional snow and its layout there is skiing for all abilities: The skiing is rather easy around the station and gets more technical the further you are away.

The ski area has a huge 1430 metre difference in altitude from 1800m at the bottom to 3230m at the top. 

In terms facilities the ski resort has a snow park, boarder cross course, junior kids zone, slalom stadium which hosts a notable quantity of prestigious races, 6km long bobsleigh track and another kids area specially set aside for the youngest of kids. 

Val Thorens doesn't let us down when we put the skis down for the day, après ski is lively and there is a great range of activities on offer: sports, relaxation and wellness treatments at the leisure centre.

There is also very diverse evening entertainment on offer: Enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere during the live classical and jazz concerts with either friends or with family, gaze at the street entertainment, torchlight ski descents and other regular events.

In total there are 150 shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs at your disposal all day and late into the night. 

For children Val Thorens has 3 nurseries, a kindergarten and kids club accommodating children from 3 months to 6 years old.

They can enjoy a range of activities notably that of being introduced to the pleasures of skiing at a very early age.

All the childcare centres offer either half-day or full day options, with or without meals.
