And take the opportunity to book your equipment online with Sport 2000, whether for a day, a few days, or a whole week!

La Bresse-Hohneck, the largest ski area in the Vosges

Although the Vosges may not initially seem able to compete with Alpine or Pyrenean resorts, La Bresse-Hohneck nonetheless remains a sufficiently diverse ski area to appeal to skiers of all ages and skill levels.

With 15 ski lifts, the area provides access to 33 alpine ski runs, mostly blue and red. Near the snow front, beginners also have their own dedicated area to learn to ski at their own pace, and can also head to the green runs starting from Grand Artimont, at an altitude of 1,228 meters. All this comes at attractive prices, with passes costing around €220 for adults (6-day ski pass), as well as discounts for children, students, youth, and seniors.

La Bresse also offers a wide variety of purpose-built areas and activities for skiers. You can introduce your children to the Opoualand fun area, enjoy the boardercross, or take the Labell’Bleue route for a gentle descent showcasing the most beautiful panoramas. For a unique experience, the ski area operators also offer night skiing (every day during school holidays, as well as every Friday and Saturday evening from 5 p.m.) and early-morning skiing (the chance to ski from 6 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. on several illuminated runs).

The La Bresse-Lispach Nordic area

Are you considering the Vosges primarily for its cross-country skiing offer? In La Bresse, the La Bresse-Lispach Nordic area will be your favorite playground.

With 2 green runs, 2 blue runs, and 3 red runs, as well as a high-altitude trail, the area boasts 50 km of cross-country ski trails. A wonderful way to discover the stunning Vosges landscapes between lakes and forests!

The Nordic area also caters to non-skiers, with sledding areas, a space to learn biathlon with ESF instructors, a zone dedicated to new winter sports, hiking trails, and more.

Non-ski activities in Xonrupt–La Bresse

A winter stay in Xonrupt doesn’t only offer opportunities for downhill skiing or cross-country skiing. For those who occasionally want to escape the ski slopes and discover other leisure activities, there is no shortage of options.

La Bresse is particularly well equipped for sledding in its many forms. First, there is La Schlitte Mountain, a rail sled accessible from age 3 (children aged 3 to 8 must be accompanied by an adult). With its 900-meter descent and winding turns, it offers plenty of thrills in complete safety.
On the snow, you can also take part in evening sledding sessions on privately reserved slopes at night, try Snake Gliss, or enjoy snow tubing.

But that’s not all: the resort’s service providers also offer quad bike and snowmobile tours, guided snowshoe hikes, electric scooter or FatBike rides, horseback rides, a giant zip line, tandem paragliding flights, and more. The wide range of activities leaves no one out!

And not far from Xonrupt, be sure to discover Gérardmer, its lakes, and the view from the Mérelle observatory. Several nearby walks and hikes will let you fully appreciate the beauty of the Vosges Mountains in winter.

Your ski and snowboard rental in La Bresse

Wondering which ski shop to choose in La Bresse to gear up for winter sports? Sport 2000 Lou Ski is undoubtedly the ideal place!

A ski shop close to La Bresse

The shop is located just outside Gérardmer in the direction of La Bresse, and it then takes only 10 to 15 minutes by car to reach the La Bresse–Hohneck ski area (Belle Hutte and Le Slalom). A large private parking area in front of the shop is very convenient for picking up your skis on the way to La Bresse.

And although the shop is not located right at the foot of the slopes, this also has an advantage: there is less risk of long queues when collecting equipment booked online or when renting or purchasing directly in-store.
You can also save time by buying your lift pass online so you can head straight for the slopes as soon as you arrive in La Bresse.

A wide selection of winter sports equipment

On the Sport 2000 Lou Ski online rental website, you can reserve all the essential equipment for the ski area. You’ll find children’s alpine skis for all ages, with several skill-level categories from age 7 (Junior and Teen).
Adults can choose from alpine skis (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), mini skis, and snowboards. Each item can be rented with ski boots or snowboard boots, as well as a ski helmet. This safety accessory is strongly recommended for both children and adults.

For other activities available in the ski area, we invite you to visit the shop directly, where the rental range includes classic and skating cross-country ski packages, sleds, and snowshoes.

Skiing in Gérardmer, the other option from Xonrupt

While La Bresse remains the resort of choice for skiing during a day trip or a holiday in Xonrupt, it is also possible to head to the Gérardmer ski area (La Mauselaine resort), just 5 minutes from the Sport 2000 Lou Ski shop. Please note, however, that opening is often partial, depending on snow conditions.

Nevertheless, when conditions are good, you can enjoy 21 runs, mainly green and red, as well as the skiercross area and the slalom stadium.

South of Gérardmer and Xonrupt, a large Nordic area is also accessible, featuring cross-country ski trails, sledding areas, snowshoe paths, picnic areas, food outlets, and more.
