The cosmopolitan, sportive and innovative town of Tignes offers visitors a slightly different view on how mountain life really is.

Renowned internationally for the quality of the skiing, Tignes prolongs the snow season right until the end of spring. The ski area "Espace Killy" Tignes / Val d'Isere is made up of 300 km of marked ski runs, varying in difficulty and extending between 1550 m and 3450 m in altitude.

In addition to the standard ski runs, push your skis a little bit further on the 6 slaloms, the official mogul field, in the two snow parks or the gliss' park. Tignes also has summer skiing on the Grande Motte glacier, the blue, red and black runs open visitors up to the unique sensations of skiing from June to August. In summer, the snow park migrates up onto the glacier ready to inspire the new freestyle generation!

Always on the lookout for new trends and snow based fashions, Tignes has a varied and original range of activities on offer; ice diving, ice skating, ice racing, skijoring, paragliding, climbing, dog sledding, snow biking, snowmobiling, ice karting, heli-skiing.

At the bottom of the slopes Tignes prolongs the pleasure after skiing with it's variety of restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs. Enjoy the change of scenery with a bit of gastronomic discovery, festive parties, or quietly relaxing away from the stresses of modern life. Tignes welcomes all the original winter events, where athletic performance blend into realms of craziness.
